in which we are learning ourselves

It is a lie to say that the meek shall inherit.

The meek shall be punished. Not by God, for quite literally God Is Love. That fearsome and nebulous unknown called Love, thrown about both casually and with reverance -- this is as close as we may come to understand God.

The meek shall be punished, not by God but by Evil. By the devil that walks the earth alongside the faithful. By the demons that hide behind men's eyes.

The meek will always suffer. For in being meek one trespasses against sanctity itself -- God Lives in Man.

This is the lesson meant to be taught by Christ. Not that we must obey some arcane and arbitrary set of rules. But that we must finally admit that Divinity is not alien to us ... that our own fear of being able to live in such grace makes us deny Love itself.

We must be brave with Love. We must be fearless.

In being meek we fear the horrific majesty of what good may come from the depths of our soul so deeply that we must turn from it completely. We focus instead outward, and leave God at the mercy of all the evil in the world.

Is it a virtue to be meek, if you alone guard Gods access to our world?

If you are God's defender... will meekness or courage serve as the higher good?

A lie was created, that the meek shall inherit.

The lie was created by the devils. For it is this lie that allows evil to run rampant in the world.

This is the lie that allows one man to harm another.

This is the lie that allows us to accept cruelty and selfishness. This is the lie that feeds greed and hatred.

The meek shall allow all that is Divine to be eaten by Evil.

The brave shall allow that simple human Love goes unpunished. The brave shall allow that there is divinity in each human being... even the twisted and corrupt.

There is virtue in respecting the fearsome, eternal Kindness that has carried us forward through a history dark with violence and toil and suffering.

Is there a higher sin than knowing you've experienced God, having given such Love to others and having received it yourself ... can there be a higher sin than pretending it is not there, when you've seen it before?

Can there be a higher good, than being vigilant of this Truth?

We know why the world continues to move onward. Not from greed, not from fear, not even from hunger. For at some times for all of us, the simple unrelenting weight of Existence itself grows unbearable enough that none of these would carry us through to a new day.

Is pain so fearsome, when we live with it constantly?

Is death so fearsome, when we are scarely a breathe, a heartbeat away from it at any moment?

We continue to live, we continue to build, we continue to try and we continue to strive not for any of the darker sides of what men may be ... we continue at any given moment because, in reality, somewhere deep we are aware of the Truth.

The meek are afraid because God is no greater than they themselves.

The meek will be punished, for a lack of Faith.

The bold shall preserve the earth.
