in which we just want to help
2004-01-01 @ 12:00 p.m.

Okay, for those who may not know or recall, I am a psych major. So, should I decide that I'd like to do some kind of research -- obviously I'd have to convince someone that paying for that research (and paying me, of course) would be a worthwhile pursuit.

With that in mind, read this.

Really, is that not the coolest thing ever??

It reminds me of the conclusions of another study saw referenced a couple of times not long ago: Some school in New England said their research suggested a link between semen and depression in women ... that is to say, an inverse relationship.

According to that study, women who regularly came into contact with semen had (for like a year or something) pretty much no occurences of depression, whereas it occurred with a pretty normal frequency with those women who didn't come into regular contact with semen.

And get this: We're not talking about orgasms for the chick here, either, nor or we saying it was just the sex that kept them in good moods -- some of the "no contact" subjects were regularly having sex, only using condoms. And there certainly was no ban on any of the women as far as what they could do for sexual pleasure ... pretty much, they interviewed hundreds and their conclusion was that semen seems to act as an anti-depressant.

So, not only do I think all of this is really cool ... but part of why it is: Can you imagine being the researcher who presents these hypotheses for funding?

"It is my theory that getting lots of semen pretty regularly is essential to the mental health of every woman. In addition, swallowing will actually help her avoid cancer."

Man. I just want to do my part to help improve the world. Seriously.

Thoughts?
