Say, anyone see that Spiderman 2 movie?

Really, I couldn't possibly rave enough. It is an absolutely true and faithful film adaption of a comic book -- positively astounding, really. A super-hero comic book?

Historically, the action/special affects have been anywhere from horrible to cheesy, the characters inevitably miscast (ed?), the plots intangible and the general context of the comic lost completely. In short, the most one might reasonably hope from such a film effort was that it might be fun ... you know, the kind of fun that's kinda a guilty pleasure?

But the new Spidey movie is no slouch, either in having the razzle-dazzle that tends to ignite the imagination of comics fans in the first place, or in creating a pretty damned accurate and fun film translation of the same. Comics are a very particular sort of medium, so I don't think this was any small feat.

Plus, if you're a comics geek, there's like a million little sorta in-joke details for you to appreciate as well.

In other news? After like a year and a half on zoloft and wellbutrin, I finally figured out that these are the causes for my spraying sweat like a fountain at the slightest exertion.

So, hm... depressed, or just really, really sweaty?

It's frickin late July, folks. What would you do?

Thoughts?
