in which we impress with our self control

Right, so CG has this (male) friend who has finally stopped chasing women considerably younger than him and began dating his long-time best friend who basically just required that he stop acting like a horny college kid. You know, she wanted a commitment. So this friend finally steps up to the plate, but he's (not really) complaining because this new development has yet to result in sex, and due to circumstances probably won't for another few weeks.

CG, laughing, says, "Hah, good. Make him work for it."

Tsk. C'mon, ladies. Realistically, if the relationship is going to last? He'll never stop working for it. Cut a brother a break.

Anyways, it was a good weekend. Saturday night I called CG and suggested that she come over to sleep next to me after I got off work. She suggested we get together for dinner before work, and said she'd think about the sleepover. We had a nice dinner that ended up making me 30 minutes late for work, but as it happens a date in my work environment is seen as one of the few reasons acceptible for being late.

So that night goes by fast, and in the end I go over to her place to spend the night. There is some conversation and much making out. We stuck to a boundary of nobody being allowed to end up completely naked, which of course kept sex from "accidentally" happening. In the end, when exhaustion finally beat out sexual tension, we had a few restless hours of sleep before waking up to spend a lazy Sunday together. She was pleased that we'd been able to exercise such restraint the night before -- which, I guess, is actually a good thing. I guess.

Make him work for it indeeed.

Anyhow, she made a big breakfast and we lounged around and talked about much of everything. It was kind of a gloomy day out anyway, so we didn't feel like we were missing anything outside. I left when the sun finally went down again, only to get home and crash out all over again.

Who knew a sleepover and lazy day lounging around could be so exhausting?

Danged sexual tension.

Thoughts?
